I was just looking over my srt-4 turbo manifold when i noticed a small hairline crack in the manifold, It is right above where the wastegate opens up on the underside of the manifold...Should I worry about this or will it be a potential problem in the future?

Yes, it will be a problem. You can get it to a welder who knows what he is doing with cast iron and have it repaired properly.

Oh mk. Cause I was going to buy one from that guy and it was cracked right where you said it was. Yes, your best bet is to weld it.

OK so I had brought the manifold to a guy that is a professional welder and he specializes in srt-4's and even built a custom twin turbo for the srt...from what he told me...he said he has taken off and worked on so many stock srt manifolds that had high mileage on them and he said the crack is very common and won't be a problem...so i'm guessing that it will be okay, what do you guys think?? His name is Frank, don't know if you have heard of him from Xtremeboost...

Hey, I'm just a newbie, but on the different forums you can get those things fairly cheap, possibly less than the cost of welding. I do know that it is hard to judge lifetime on weld repairs in general in anything that has to sustain pressure.
I vote you use the money you'd pay for the repair to to buy another one from someone else.
P.S. I don't have one for sale.
