ok so i just purchased a turbo kit for a 96-99 sohc neon from my friend even though i have a 05.... dont ask me why, it was reallly really cheap and in great condition. I just wanna confirm that the bolt pattern is different on the 99 for the turbo mani, in other words it wont bolt up right? i havent picked up the kit yet cause im in montana for the week but whats the easiest path to find a turbo mani? other than that im all set cept for injectors which ill purchase this week. Ill be doing a write up on the install in the next month or 2 so keep a look out

and i dont think im gonna use mega squirt cause i havent heard much good come out of it, just alota bitchin about how much of a pain in the ass it is

If you bought one for a sohc, you'll be good to go, it'll bolt up. YOu need to make sure you have the correct fuel setup, with a 1:1 base regulator, a rising rate regulator, a 255 warlboro fuel pump, some sort of map clamp, and a return fuel line. You're going to boost, and if setup right, you'll be okay, but after a while, the computer will make it so you run at 14.7:1 all the time. It's not too bad, you wont make the most power, but you wont have that great safety edge of running richer like the 95-02 cars can.
Good luck.

A megasquirt can be purchased already built for a very reasonable price as compared to any other unit that's as powerful. If you need one, let me know. I can get one for you already assembled.

i was just wondering... so why is there sucha hassle about getting the adapter plate if the 96-99 log mani bolts right up, i looked for 20 min and found like 100 of the cast manis cheap. the kit comes with a t3-t4, will that be to big to keep under 250 untill i get forged rods and pistons?
And the reason i dont wanna do megasquirt is because i dont know anyone that can tune it or is familiar with it. I dont wanna tune it myself cause im not really that good with the whole computer stuff

Assembled with the mods needed to run on a neon, like the one to read the factory crank trigger?

is this the same as neon squirt? or even a more competitive price?

We have a different distributor, but we can offer them at a similar price. If you're looking for MS1, V3, 2.5 BAR MAP, and 12' harness, it looks like we're about $15 less expensive. Although Una's a lot better about custom work, so if what you want is not exactly what I just said, Una may be a better option.

It's possible to do without, but it's a fight with the ECU the whole time. I tried without, and it wouldn't do what I told it to do, so I did it the "right" way that avoids the 3 or 4 issues the NGC has with boost.

Yeah, that doesn't even look like a neon engine bay...
The engine is mounted a completely different direction...

The only reason you will need an adapter is if the turbo set-up is for a DOHC 2.0. That head uses a SRT-4 bolt pattern (minus 2 bolts) Like invujerry said, if it's a SOHC turbo kit, you will be fine.
