ok so i am looking at getting a t3/t4 universal turbo kit for about 600 bucks, and it comes with everything except the downpipe and turbo manifold. i can already locate those. my question is would it be safe to just bolt on to my 2003 sohc 2.0? it is closing in around 97k. i dont really have the money to do anything motor wise to make it safer, but i plan on saving up to upgrade the rest as well.
i used the search function, and i only helped me a little

you will need a way to control fuel and spark so you don't lean it out and burn up the engine.
a turbo isn't something to halfass. do it right or don't do it at all, imo.

An 03, regardless of miles needs fuel. With really good fuel, I'd run no more than 2psi without real management. Seeing as there are no wastegates that will run that, you probably have to do something about it.
