well since making my car mtx using a 3.94 i also want some more power. this week im putting in the PT clutch. so the tranny can handle some more power.

i don't have a lot of experience with turbo's but ive done some research, and i know the main problem is controlling fuel and spark. my plan is to acquire a 2.0l sohc motor, tear it down and rebuild it with forged internals. i would prefer not to run a standalone but it seems necessary. my goal is to run the car around 10psi safely and use the car as a DD. im not one to go to the track yet but i autocross weekly. could i get some help and suggestions on what to run parts wise...

this will be fairly budget as im still in school ect.

thanks

note. links are greatly appreciated :)

For an autocross car, an SRT turbo is plenty, but a gear-type LSD is way more important than boost.

Im gonna go with the LSD, torque steer will be a BITCH with boost autocrossing not to mention how much itll help with handling alone.

for a reliable DD, don't go with forced induction since it will require maintenance alot more than a N/A motor. For moto cross, I would highly recomend a high compresion N/A motor with the R/T trani....

If you put forged internals you can run way more than 10psi

Spray. $600 with a new kit, less with a used kit. $60 to fill a bottle max, and you get a ton of runs out of a bottle. I picked up 5MPH at the track with a 65 shot just in 3rd and 4th. If I had hooked, and sprayed the hole way, I'd have done 13's, I'm sure of it.

Just for reference. I trapped 96 MPH just spraying 3rd and 4th. I imagine I'd be up over 100 with spraying 2nd also.
