My shit box keeps blowing out what I believe is the MAF/IAT sensor. Well, now it blew out the grommet/bung that holds the cheap piece of shit in there.

In case no one knows what I am referring to, I'll try to describe it. It's about 6-8 inches down from the throttle body. It's a probe that goes into the charge pipe.

Is there a fix for this bullshit? Or, better yet, is there an after marker part that will make this not happen anymore on this cheap econobox turd?
Why there isn't a screw-in for this sensor is BEYOND me.

That would be the AIT sensor. (If your assumtion is correct. I don't mean that as a negative comment either.)

IDK if the ones for the 4.0 jeeps are the same resistance to temp values, but they do screw in. You would need to mount it in the IM tho. I imagine they are different, as the jeep IM prolly runs fairly hot, comapared to the intake tube. Not that boost can't get hot. But the jeep one is metal, and I'm assuming the one you have is plastic.

One would think that it would be before the air filter like N/A neons. But I have never looked under the hood of a stock/built SRT, so what do I know?

Most guys wrap the grommet in electrical tape.

Problem solved.
Or if you don't have the money you could make your own hardpipe. Drill a hole, weld a bung in there and spend $40 for the AGP IAT screw in sensor

You running more boost? My shitbox never had a problem blowing that sensor out when I was stock. I never had problems with vacuum lines either.
I guess your shitbox is shittier than mine.

Its a good idea to ziptie the lines, it doesn't take long at all.
