Bov acting weird

Post by nabster33 » Sat Oct 17, 2009 2:26 pm

OK so This might sound like an odd question but here it goes: I have been around srt's for a while and have heard alot of mopar bov's. My srt has the bov and when I let off the gas the sound is more like a very quick psh. with an ending point, where as my buddies is more like a pshhhh tapering off. Now he has no leaks or anything and most sound the same as his, mine seems to be the odd ball. Can anybody chime in on why mine sounds so different. Car is stock, maybe that plays into it. thanks in advance

The Mopar Blue Plate sounds exactly like what you're describing. Nothing is wrong.

thats odd because mine is the first out of about 30 that have sounded this way. even some of my friends have commented on it asking whats up. The only thing I could think of is maybe its because i have the stock intake, and maybe having an intake makes a big enough difference in the sound....

Ok so maybe its the difference without intake. Sorry.. :banghead:

Ya I got watching some videos and the the sound that I hear on everyone elses is the stock bpv echoing through the intake on top of the bov so thats what makes it sound long and tapered where mine is short and quick.

You don't want a slow pshhhhhhhh leaking out of your BOV when you're off the throttle, it's usually a sign of a subtle leak. I know, because my greddy is a piece of shit and does that. Haha.

lol ya It def does not leak, I just had a slow moment before I figured out what the issue was. I just need an intake. other things come first.... like solid mounts!
