What are your afrs and what else is done to the engine? Also what is your tuning device along with what is you're timing retard per pound of boost?

afr is 11.7

The engine if fully rebuilt. Crower rods, je pistions, 9.3 comp., bored .02 over, magnum head with .02 oversized indy valves, magnum cam, 750cc injectors, fuel return line, sidewinder intercooler, and n2mb boost box

Tuning is done with the diablosport predator (installed a srt-4 pcm) with a custom tune to work on 2.0L rather than 2.4L

Wow I was hoping to see a stock bottom end... but I guess at 21 psi it wouldn't live forever. Very nice.... are you happy with that number? Any plans for bigger turbo? Maybe s20g? Or bigger.

My last set up was the stage 2 hahn turbo kit.

afr was around 11.7 again controlled by the splitsec box. It controlled 4 extra injectors for the added fuel

I had the FTC-1 to retard the timing.

I had around 12 psi and it made 220 whp to the wheels but the r/t pcm was fighting everystep of the way. (the r/t pcm has a more aggressive timing if you didnt already know)

That was all on a stock bottom end 9.8:1 ratio but unfortunely it blew on me. (blew the piston ring and cracked part of the piston head)

It lasted 4 or so years so i was happy

as for future plans...

I am currently installing a BW 256 big turbo and agp external WG and all the goodies that go with it. I am looking to either keep my current hp but have lower boost or maybe crank it up a little and hit 400+ to the wheels...

this is my DD so I cant go too crazy

The tune is very safe and i shouldnt break anything...fingers crossed

Boostalot, if you run low timing, or do water/meth injection and change the rod bolts out for ARP's, you'd have a better chance of keeping the bottom end together.

Made 240 whp on 8 psi with an ebay turbo, engine itself was stock from the valve cover to the oil pan with about 180k on it. Tuned with a begi rrfpr and 30lb injectors.

I would think anything more than a small turbo on a stock SOHC engine would be overkill. 20G anything is big.

im gonna stick with my 20g and have it modified by blouch performance turbo.... the owner and i had a hour conversation about the s20g. if you compare inducer and exducer measurements vs the bws256.... he explained to me the 20g isnt much smaller... and after my 20g is modded it will be a tad larger than the s256..... they specialize in mitsubishi turbos and garret. they just completed a sick ass challenger turbo..

And you're expecting to use that on a stock longblock?

Good luck. Just sayin.

No I have a built motor lol but it wouldn't hurt a stock block. Bigger turbos are easier on a stock motor because they don't create insta spool torque like an srt4 Turbo or s16g.

There was a guy over on neons.org making huge HP with a stock 98 dohc block. He had a big turbo(sc61) and crane 18's. made 312HP/260wtq. He had upgraded his rod bolts to arps and was using water/meth injection and Megasquirt. If you can keep the power from coming on too early and rev high it'll last a while.

My plan I had years ago was to use a sohc block, dohc head, semi big cams and a big turbo for a drag car. I figure 11's would be easy if the car was a beer can. Even a big cam sohc would be fun. We'll see.

Glasswars is using a bws256 on his stock rt motor at 8psi and has been okay. Don't know if he ever dynod it though.
