Diablosport

Post by LILBLUNEON » Thu Apr 25, 2013 3:03 pm

I guess I'm posting in the right section, mods correct me if im wrong...

Looking to gain a few more horses out of my SRT. Currently has Full 3 inch exhaust and stage 1 PCM. Few local SRT owners have told me to buy Diablosport programmer, it helps a lot.

Can I use diablosport on a staged PCM? or is buying a programmer a waste due to upgraded PCM's already improved gains?

Tried to search else where but came up with a lot of useless or confusing info...

Thanks! :D

Yes, you can use a DSP (or now intune) on any SRT PCM (stock or staged). If you run the 'Performance Tune' that Diablosport provides, you'll see gains around Stage 2 levels. Keep in mind you must have a wideband air/fuel gauge and you must add fuel, because the tune they provide will be lean from the get-go.

The DSP is also handy to have around if you ever plan on going big turbo, get bigger injectors, 3bar sensors, etc.

Oh seems like a good buy then.

Is there another 'tune' setting that wouldn't require more fuel?

Well...stock tune, I guess...

Eventually if you want more power you will need to add more fuel. You have an '05 so, depending on the health of your fuel system, adding fuel shouldn't be a problem for you. Keep in mind when I say 'add fuel', all you're doing is clicking one button on the device to make the WOT A/F ratio richer. It takes only a couple minutes IF you have a wideband A/F gauge to base your information off of.

Simple as:
1) load tune
2) datalog tune with device and watch A/F gauge
3) make adjustments to tune with device

If you look at srtforums, they have a multitude of threads on this subject.
