What Size Injectors for Super 20G

Post by MoparOso » Thu May 30, 2013 7:36 am

I'm setting up the fueling for a turbo build that is going to run a Mitsubishi Super 20G. Compression will be 9.4:1. I don't want the setup to be too rich so that idle and gas mileage are horrible, buy I also want to ensure that under boost I am getting enough fuel to avoid detonation and give good power.

SRT stage 1 injectors or just get some 600-800 cc injectors. Are you gonna be megasquirt or FIC for engine management? Either way you'll be able to adjust fuel trims.

But if the injectors are to big and the duty cycle is already at 1 or zero how can you adjust the idle or part throttle cruize? I ran into this issue guy with an eclipse has 850s in a setup that's only running 18psi. We could not get part throttle or idle under the 11s changing fuel pressure helped some but a lot. I'm curious to know what needs done at this point.

Well I was going to work with Kevin up in WA state. He seems to have cracked the NGC PCM, so I was hoping that with properly scaled injectors that we could get good power and driveability without to many tradeoffs for either. This is a Hahn Racecraft system, and I know I could have gone with their fueling solution, but I just like things to be clean and simple.

One of my neons has the chill factory kit and my other has a Hahn kit. I'm using an aem fic. On both vehicles. So that's why I'm saying about the duty cycle. When there already at all but zero duty cycle what more can you do. Ngc with an fic you cannon use the o2 offset feature. With my sbec car I can. But even so you can only offset so far.

Can someone clarify for me please. Do the SRT4 injectors fit the 2.0l vehicles? I can find all sorts of hardware for the SRT4, but I cannot find anything but the Venom injectors that show as fitting the 2.0l application.

Srt injectors will fit.

How much boost r u planning to run?

Im using 750ccs for 18psi n have plenty of injector potential to spare

80lb/hr comes out to 840cc

Thank you for giving me a useful answer. I really appreciate it. I'm planing on 20 psi boost and was told that an 80 lb injector would work well.

They will work u should have room left with those injectors to turn the boost up down the road, depending on ur supporting fuel mods.

Im interested to c how the tuning goes with the stock pcm, im using ms
