Pre-Turbo Motor Work?
What kind of motor work are you looking at before putting in a turbo?
I saw ThatKevin's Turbo "Kit" with a 50 trim, and was wondering what would need to be done before putting this type of kit on, considering it's a 50 trim. Could you just put on the turbo and run 7/8 lbs of boost without issues?
I'm sure stock internals can handle it like he said, but how long would they last?

Is he on the forums? And how long of an installation are you looking at for a mechanically inclined person with a kit like this : viewtopic.php?t=66244&highlight=
ARP rod bolts (which I happen to have) and a great tune
It would probably take you an entire day to bolt everything on. Wiring the MS isn't too bad, but takes time for someone who hasn't done it.
I made 201whp @5lbs (way below the amount of boost this turbo should be pushing out) and this was a rough "break in" tune

The tune that is currently on it will start and run the car (with stage 2 injectors). I do not recommend you using this tune for anything though (not that it's bad, but I'm not taking responsibility). For your HP goals you don't need it to be a standalone, you can just use it as a piggyback.ShanesNGC wrote:Don't understand MS fully.. Will it have a preset tune for tge 50 trim already on it? Or will I have to hook it up and have a tuner (lke the suggested one) give me a tune?
wire it up, load a base map, then hve it tuned by someone who knows that they're doing. Everyone seems to go to Erick, and have great things to say.

you datalog, then send the info to your tuner, he then creates a tune, sends it back, repeat until perfect. All via email / laptop.ShanesNGC wrote:Is a simple enough device that when I got it tuned by him.. he tells me the tune then I put it in? Or do I send him it.. he puts the tune on.. and I get it back and hook it up?
