Ever since I bought the car I noticed a flutter....but I always thought it was wastegate/bov flutter now I'm starting to wonder if it was compressor surge and I screwed up my turbo.....last week during the polar vortex I had a lot of fun with the cold weather I'm on a stock turbo running 15 pounds of boost. One day after boosting I wanted to boost again and it went up to 10 pounds and started dropping. At any speed, (lets say I was doing 50 mph) I would let go of the gas the flutter would happen and my gauge would read -20 vacuum side. Now it flutters and reads -28 almost -30 vacuum side on the gauge. Was the flutter compressor surge and I screwed up my turbo? The flutter happens any time I let off the gas if I hit the gas run it to 10 pounds let go it flutters or if I step on the gas to speed up a little the gauge goes to -10 vacuum I let go of the gas and it flutters...
TL;DR
Stock turbo 15 pounds. At any speed I let go of the gas I hear a flutter, if I'm at -10 vacuum accelerating from 50 mph-55mph let go of the gas it flutters, or if I'm going from 50-65 mph and the gauge reads 10 pounds let go of the gas it flutters.
PS. BOV is a turboxs looks like a recirculating bov.. it has no big horn

first one is my BOV
When I was able to hold and boost at 15 no flutter and no BOV sound. It's quiet you don't even hear the pssss of the turbo
did I screw up my turbo?
