 he sends his pcm's to europe for reflashing huh....mmm

Shipping alone by slow boat there is 4-9weeks, then you got another 4-9weeks back. I wonder why he never mentioned the long wait for these pcm's so people would not get pissed.

yeah so i pulled the butterflies. it feels like a slighty midrange loss so i guess my butterflies were working afterall :)

its a bit louder now though, even at WOT, which surprised me if the butterflies were in fact working

am i correct in stating that the af/x DOES NOT control the magnum intake? so you'd have to wire them up the good ole nonmag way.

well you dont have to wiring them any differently. if you just slap the af/x ecu in, youll lose power over 4900. rather than fidgeting with a vafc or harlan switch or any of that, i just opted to remove the butterflies.... although you do lose some midrange, its very easy to do, though it is time consuming, and you can just as easily re-install them when you get rid of the car or ecu

personally, id rather have the extra 1000rpm to play with (where the magnums really shine), then 10lb-ft tq from 3-5k

if youd only see my exhaust right now i lost so much power until i get my exhaust done CORRECTLY... heres the story.... initially i had an open long tube and it was just too loud so i quick slapped on a 3"-2.5" reducer (keep in mind i cut the stock exhaust so that it was resting in the end of the longtube .... if you can picture kind of what the aem v2 intake looks like - thats it... anyway, i told the guy at the exhaust shop to cut that part off thats inside the collector and just weld the stock 2.25" exhaust to the 2.5" reducer.... he did but he missed the step of cutting the stock exhaust thats still sitting in the header after i inspected it later..... HUGE loss on the top end... it must be making such a turbulent airflow where the stock exhaust is still sitting inside of the header and getting caught between the reducer and stock exhaust...

im still kinda pissed about that so im hoping to get a 2.5" cat resonator and muffler eventually and get it done CORRECTLY

anyway, i got a free alignment at work tonight (i work at a subaru dealer for those of you who didnt know :) :) and yes i get to drve sti's and wrx's often :) :)) cuz im friends with some techs there.... i got it done to ACR spec and i got -1.0* camber front and -0.5* rear so im happy about that

ACR's came with negative camber? Interesting. I might do that next time I get mine aligned (I usually get 0 degrees everywhere for the tires sake) Too loud with just open header??? I wanted to run open header for like a week when I eventually get mine on... everyone at work was placing bets... saying that ONE tire would hit the city pavement outside my driveway and I'd get a ticket
