Two Port Exhaust Muffler

Does anyone make a two port exhaust muffler for the 2nd generation neon?

Like two outlets?

Specifically, just for the ACR, R/T and the SRT-D.

But you are kind of limited to the dealer for those. Most oem style aftermarket 2gn mufflers are one fits all.

About the only one they actually copy, is the 1gn DOHC muffler, with two outlets on the passenger side end.

Otherwise, you are adapting the Camaro muffler, for an outlet on each end.

Stupid question, but does that impact performance?

No, not negative impact. It's not if a muffler is two or one-outlet in design that impacts exhaust performance. Backpressure and exhaust has more to do with the total exhaust system, the design of the manifold, cam profile, and the design of the exhaust ports. It's a total package thing. Just changing the muffler for a twin-outlet design isn't going to cause a problem.
Drive it like you stole it, and work on it like you married it.

Trubendz makes one but the drone just driving around and on the highway can get annoying. and thats with a resonator. i'd recommend a straight through muffler with some kind of resonator or bullet muffler over the twin out set ups personnally.

Flowmaster 80 Series will work. There are several single inlet/dual outlet aftermarket mufflers that will work. Don't limit your search by only looking for model specific systems.

The Borla rear section for our cars is a very nice piece with a great tone.

I still have it on my car and I love it.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I second that the trubendz setup is awefully loud and droning even with my moroso muffler inline.
