Magnum Intake Manifold Questions

1. Will a magnum intake manifold fit perfectly with a 2005 SXT?

2. Does it matter the car ATX/MTX?

3. Whats the purpose of the Rpm switch?

4. Will it be as simple as removing the stock manifold on now and putting on the magnum?

5. Where can I find one at?

1. Will it fit on the 05 sohc head....yes..just need the supporting mods to make it work. RPM Window Switch, relays, and if you have a tach adapter makes things easy.

2. I dont believe so...

3. Magnum Intake Manifolds have baffles that open up at a certain rpm range....RPM switch activates the baffles.

4. The wiring is most likely going to be the hardest thing to do for the project. You will need an r/t manifold gasket fyi. Worth every penny though.

5. Sales on the forums all the time

I recall reading in the past that '05s really don't like the changes seen by putting the magnum intake on. I'm trying to find this info myself as I just picked up an intake this weekend. If someone knows and wants to chime in feel free!

^ not true i had an 05 and the mag intake worked great

Ok that's good news then. I may have confused the mag intake with the mpx throttle body.

^mpx TB yes some people had some issues on 05 i got lucky and my TB worked well too
