ya im not all that happy right now considering the seller told me it works and he tested it before i bought it..

i guess i should have tested it before i gave him the cash!!

unless im doing something wrong when i hookup the battery this motor is toast..

ive hit it with som PB blaster to see if it will free up but nothing so far!

EDIT!!!!!!

Motor is not dead is severely seized!!!!!! it did move under 12v power but very very slightly

i have no idea whats going on with this motor, i pulled the plastic cover off and there is no corrosion its nice and clean!

the motor moves a bit more then before!

is it the motor that's seized or the butterflies/ shaft that's froze up?

did you remove the MTV from the manifold to test? because if not it might not be aligned right if i remember it is keyed similar to a tps sensor

yes its off the manifold
hooked directly to a small 12v battery

the motor turns about a quater turn then nothing!! and will only turn when its in a certain spot

wont snap back or move any further

does the spring on the end on the motor have enough tension to snap the motor back into closed position?

how far does this motor actually turn??
i can get it to move about a quater turn... im wondering if its turning enough to open the butterflies and the spring will be strong enough to close them
