NGC and a crane 14. Good idea?

Have a question about how to make horsepower going the all motor route, here's where to ask it.

NGC and a crane 14. Good idea?

Anyone else tried this setup yet with a r/t with bolt ons or a sxt neon? Just trying to get some real honest feedback with CEL if any of anything that a DD for a 80mph ride everyday would find troublesome. Thanks!

You will need a piggyback fuel controller. Not even the pre NGC PCM's like a 14. MAP is too high at idle, and there is too much valve overlap.

A Comp/Zex 400 is about as large as you can go with the factory PCM alone.

Thanks for the info so I'd have to run something like megasquirt or even maybe a SAFC from Apexi?

The crane 14 needs more rpm to be very effective. You will want a Megasquirt or wait until syked tuning makes an NGC ecu. I would run a comp400 since its designed for stock RPMs.
