basic ways to increase power

I have a 2000 ES 5spd that I haven't done anything to other than a cold air intake. what other mods should I consider to get some more power? I'm on a pretty small budget, but I'd like to see what my options are.

Your not going to get much power from a n/a neon, if you want to make power forced induction is the only way to go .

There isn't much u can do to get good power especially on a budget. It costs lots of money to even get to 200hp n/a.

one word NOS!!!!!

but yeah have fun trying to make power. your best bet would be to do a few more boltons, exhaust etc. and pick up a syked ecu.

Swapping an R/T (Magnum) head, and a 400 cam will net you a noticeable increase in power, but you are still going to spend some $$$ even on used parts for the gains you will get. If you upgraded the PCM the mods would be more noticeable.

Being an MTX, the smaller items like Fuzzyneon mentioned will be a bit more noticeable than if you had an ATX.

well at least you dont have a ngc neon so your on the right track there
