so, im driving thru town today.... and i see this guy in a late 80s civic hatch staring at my car. his car is beat, white with black fenders... steelies.... 4 inch fart cannon, and i wondered.....

what do people think when they look at my car? do they say "oh shit, that's an SRT!"? or do they say, "it's a neon" or do they say "that's a nice car!"???

i wish i could get into there heads and find out what they think when they see my car.. oh well, that is all...

althoguh, i have had people wonder if it was an SRT... even before i had the SRT bumper!

Alot of people say that about my car because it has dual exhaust, thats the only thing. They are ignorant.

I get a lot of compliments about how clean my car is.

I also get the "omg is that neon" stares too.

A lot of people around here probably don't even care... And they probably don't even know what an SRT-4 is.

I get alot of stairs......I mean stares......from people as well......Usually they just stare at my car and glance at me and then look away

The other day I was down in Santa Monica and I had just finished waxing the hell out of my car so it was show car shiney when I got

" Hey bro is that the Turbo Neon?"

Me "no it is the 2.0 magnum R/T version. Turbo would be nice though."

"Well Neon or not that is a nice lookin car bro."

i always get that hmmm...what kind of car is that stare. like this one time in traffic this mid 20s lady asked me what kinda car i was drivin and i told her it was a neon, and she couldnt believe it since she was driving a neon also.

Lol Wisher, he was gonna race you if you had an SRT, but when he found out you didn't...he was being nice.

I have had so many people ask "Thats a V-6 neon, right?". It takes so much effort to not inform them of their ignorance. I guess I kind of take it as a compliment, in a weird sort of way

People stop and look at the flag on my hood and I get stopped alot cause of it too. But never the car.

I usually don't get stopped by people. They usually ignore me or kids look out the windows or have 18 year old kids want to race me in their stock civic.

99% of people really ignore me in the white car but I will get that occassional person like last weekend driving back home from the Akron/Cleveland area that happen to notice the FMIC and give quick glances back to get a better look or give me a stare as I pass them Thats about it... when the SRTs were brand new and jsut came out I did get asked if it was an SRT or had a turbo in it. The TB and Intake give a sometimes loud whissle and people somehow mistake it as a BOV... beats me but okay

Yeah I dont think that the guy wanted to race me cuz we were sittin in stopped traffic on the PCH Highway 1 in Santa Monica next to the beach.......you know the beach that every movie star is always pictured at in the tabloids on the front cover of like Enquiror.

anyways whether he was taking pitty on me cuz I own my car and his was probably an exotic rental or he just wanted to be nice it dosent really matter......

on the other hand I never ever have been asked if I wanted to race or even revved at oh woops I have been revved at by another neon owner....

average people ignore my car, but then again i don't drive crazy either. one guy asked if it was one of them R/T-4's I seem to get alot of Dodge Ram drivers looking tho...

noone has ever reved at me either, but thats a good thing right. i have had a few give me the WTF look cause of my loud and raspy ass exhaust.

I've had someone tell me that a V-6 engine could fit under the hood of my Neon. Another person asked me if I had the Neon with the Hemi in it...lol!

I get a shit load of looks, and a few people ask about the car. Tonight, actually, my new neighbor (young dude, early 20's ish) said "I heard it, but can i see it?" clearly mistaking my intake growl and whistle as a BOV. I played along and said "sure mang", and popped the hood. As my buddy was proppin it up, the guy asked if it came with a turbo, and i said "its not boosted... yet." we talked for awhile yada yada yada. That sort of thing happens a lot. ONCE, a kid asked me if it was an srt 4 or an srt8. haha given those choices I couldnt bring myself to answer, and just ignored him. Sometimes having a fixed up neon makes me feel like shit for not having an srt4 or something. Like im trying to be better than I am by modding a POS. Neons are good cars tho! No matter what anyone says, neons pwn!

i think half the people don't know the difference... its all the young people that ask me if its an srt. so far its only been two older... and i do mean older people that confused it.

i get a lot of the 'why you trying to hook up a neon' or 'why are you wasting your money with a neon' crap... some people don't even recognize it as a neon WTF?

A Dude a work with (one of the chefs in the steakhouse at the casino, rollin fat bank, y0!!!1!) drives an OB SRT4 with the stage 2 with toys - that booger is pushing over 280 at the wheels on 93 right now. I told him to pump in 100 and see what happens then!

I have yet to geta chance to invite him on these sites, but I think he is on SRT Forums. Anyway, his car is awesome, clean as heck, and sounds meaner than a pitbull on a pork chop. I love it! I even walked out one day with my wife durring lunch to show her the car - she likes it a lot!

I get alot of compliments on mine, people pick on me because 'its just a neon' but I dont let it bother me, esp if its my friends.

I posted pictures on a local forum a month or 2 ago and this guy w a 'jdm' del sol started flaming me w/ the whole 'its just a neon' thing. I didnt take it personally, because Im used to it. but boy, did my friends. they jumped all over the guy and he started talking major crap then. I missed it all and saw it 3 days later after the thread had been locked and the guy had deleted all his posts. Internet arguing is so gay

No one believes me alot of the time, but people ask me all the time stuff like 'Is that one of those new hondas?' 'Wow! I really like your honda!' 'what kind of car is that...a civic?'

I dont care though, I love my honda dodge plymouth civic

Yeah people are stupid, its sad. I love the clean shaved look on mine.. I was actually thinking about putting a Merced emblem on the back trunk to throw people off even more. It would be painted black of course. j/p, I would never do anything THAT bad.
