IMO, 27 is too high. But I love those cars. Just get rid of the top mount, no more heat soak.

^ I need AWD butt-munchers! Or I'd buy two SRT-4's for that price. I LOVE my car but need the AWD for family stuff in Tahoe. I had big plans to build a new motor up to drop into the ACR, but life throws some curves man........

Those who said they'd rather have a SRT...

Are you on crack?

A faster car... just as much capabilities.. but can actually put power to the ground.

STi >SRT

But Evo > above em all :)

As far as PRICE goes

SRT owns both the EVO and the STI

But not everyone is broke like me

I just picked up my SRT for 15 - only 7000 miles - You really cant beat the price of used SRT's . . .

But I do agree - The STI is a NICE car - Just to pricey for poor people like me . . . .

^Thats why SRT-4's are SO popular. That was Chrysler's largest marketing point. BIG BANG for the $. They went old-school and built and affordable rocket-ship ala-Roadrunner/GTX/Etc...
Its been a tradition at Chrysler since the 60's. They just brought it back in a raucous, great handling, bulletproof-blocked, turbo-Neon.

The R&D that goes into putting together a world dominating vehicle like the EVO or STI costs bookoo $. This is why we pay 10K more for these vehicles. The differenials alone make the two japanese cars worthwhile. This is why I never get these idiots that sit there and bost about beating an SRT-4 in an modded STI or EVO. You are comparing apples to oranges. Now, beat an SRT-4 in a bone stock WRX, now thers something to bost about. A bone stock Lancer doesn't even have a chance, but, is the same price for the OZ edition.

I need AWD. I want a tryed and true sport conpact car. EVO MR and STI are the pinnacles of our hobby right now. Like I said, if SRT-4's came with AWD, I'd buy two. Though, they'd probably cost as much as an EVO MR or STI with a Mercedes AWD System shoe-horned under em'.

If I was to get one (and I was on the brink of it), I would do everything in my power to rid the trunk of that massive wing. I know it's apart of the car (meaning its identity) but I just never liked it.

Tahoe!! Yeah you will certainly need an AWD up there. I miss living so close to Tahoe. :( It's so gorgeous up there in the summer, winter too if you have a vehicle that can make it up there safely. Do you guys have a cabin/place up there? Or just go up there for the lodges?

Good luck on your purchase grambo, too bad I'm not in Reno anymore otherwise when you head to Tahoe you'd have to keep heading to Reno and let me drive it.

Thats what I thought too... Then I drove both cars and My eyes opened up to a truth.

The SRT4 is still a neon, It rides like a neon and is built with mostly the same parts. It feels like a soda can with a turbo charger strapped to it.

The Subaru, Feels like your driving a turbo charged Mini Tank.

Id take the Subaru any day.

I still love neons though ;)

Exactly... sometimes I feel like a troll when I say the STi or WRX is a better car...

The SRT-4 is wonderful if all you care about is going fast... I know that's all I cared about.. then after owning it for a few months... I started wanting more out of it than just hauling balls.... so it got sold.

I'd love to have a Evo or a STi...

I really wish I would have bought that 05 WRX (red) when I could have...

The STi and Evo are EXTREMLY nice, but for a 30K sports compact, I'll take an .:R32 anyday, MKIV OR MKV. Doesn't matter to me, but I also have a predisposition to them so..

In any case when my girlfriend moves up in January, we may be looking into leasing a Impreza 2.5i or if we can afford it, a WRX.
Justin- I have nothing but smart ass remarks to add.

R32 is nice.. but expensive.. my buddy has one... he just got done putting in his EIP stage 1 kit.. ($8000 turbo kit fyi) and it's only suppose to net him low 13s.
