69' GT was my second car. Transplanted 383 4bbl, headers to h pipe to Dynomax Turbos, POSI, automatic for the easy scores on dates.....
My brother wrapped it around a parking lot pole doing donuts.

My buddy used to have a 340 Duster with a factory sunroof. Hand crank. Kinda like a mid 80's Golf used to have. I guess less than 75 were made that year with a sunroof. It was cool.

I miss my dads 75 slant six Dart. I was so young, but I still remember the bench seats.... :sigh:

I wanted a Duster 340 soooo bad when I was a kid. I think that this is why I like my SRT so much; it is like an '05 version of the Dart/Demon/Duster to me. Maybe others won't see that but this is what I think.

this is part of the reason that 30 - 35 mpg for todays cars is rediculous:
"The 145-horsepower Slant Six delivered 24.74 miles per gallon in the 1960 2,061-mile Mobilgas Economy Run"
and
"The 318-cubic-inch V-8 with two-barrel carburetor pushed out 230 horsepower (gross) and, in the 1960 Economy Run, recorded 22.29 miles per gallon with an automatic transmission."
36 to 40 in my neon is a good day. so in 46 years we doubled our fuel economy with all this technology we have.
anyways. they are some really nice cars.
and i understand where you are coming from david. i may only be 21 but i understand.
