I do think it works best with that truck. The truck itself has a sort of grunge look to it. It looks even better with the guy posing in front of it.

There's just something about that truck in particular that makes that piercing look good (maybe the owner and the dirt). I think it wouldn't work at all for any other vehicle, including the ones featured on the website in the op.
