Haha, yea dood. We get them. Of course they're not full auto though.

Theyre what 90% of agencies are going to too. Our local PDs are all going to G17s, which is why all my training and qualifying will be done on one. The sheriffs dept. just this year replaced the berettas with G22s. SWAT has been useing G22s for a couple of years now too.

Im not a HUGE fan of them, mostly because of the safty (what, a plastic tab ON the trigger? lol) but its what Ill have the most trigger time on. Ill probably end up buying a G23 after my certification, so I dont have to do all the "training and testing" like a civilan. Just a few days wait, and sign on the dotted line.

And I know all about sneeking them on planes, CNN is so informative and truthful. Dont let the slide fool you, it is, indeed plastic.

yeah, my current pistol is a Star Arms Ultrastar. its a 9mm single stack w/ polymer (plastic) frame. nice gun for a"cheap" manufacturer (although the Spanish military issues Star products, so they are at least foreign military grade). it shoots awesome, 3in groups at 20 yards (im a pretty decent pistol shot, at the risk of bragging)

i had a Springfield Armory 1911-A1 Champion .45 and a nice Taurus 7 round .357, but i sold them (along with my Mossberg 500p and a few other assorted rifles) a few years back so the wife and i could, you know, pay rent and buy christmas presents and whatnot... it sucked, but you have to do what you have to do...

i like Glocks, they are excellent pistols, they only problem i have with them is asthetic, they are a little too "appliance-y" for me...

im currently shopping for a smallish .357 revolver for CCW for the wife, and when finances allow, im picking up either a SIG P239 in .357 sig or a another 1911-A1 (probably Springfield) in commander length for myself. Ohio just passed CCW law finally.
