Especially when bumped for no reason.

But if someone actually has a valid question derived from the old post, than I can see it being ok.

He locked it, I don't wanna step on his toes to unlock it.

People really should stop bumping old threads b/c it is getting annoying. Like LowNSlow said, if the thread it brought back for a legitimate purpose to ask a question but if it's just to be funny then it's annoying and looks more like post whoring than anything else.

Please.... stop bumping threads!

There's a Mass-lock mod for phpBB that claims to "automatically lock the topics that have not any posts for a while." I don't run a forum, so I'm unable to try it out. Perhaps that's worth a go. The discussion makes it seem like a good mod, and configurable, too.

Did you have time to check this out? I know I mentioned this in another thread with your rant on this...

I'd like to stay away from locking threads and much as I can, expecially a mass lock since people could have valid questions that aren't able to bump old threads. That is an option though so I'll keep it in mind, Thanks
