Excited for the coming Holiday Season?

Post by Chibits12 » Fri Dec 08, 2006 11:37 pm

I am. All I hear in the radio are people getting stressed out with buying the right presents, holidays getiing close, blah blah blah :? I sometimes don't understand it. I actually find it rewarding that we're getting close to Christmas/Hanukkah/New Year times, because it's like the ultimate stress reliever for me. I don't know, it's just the way I see it. There's no school, I get to eat more, see friends, and I get to just lazy around without worries.

You guys/gals looking forward to things this Holiday season? Share your thoughts.

Now if Santa gets me a set of rims, that'd be sweet. Nevermind. :P

I always love this time of year! Before Christmas that is... I like seeing Christmas decorations and people are generally a tad friendlier than other times of the year. After that though the Winter season sucks and the sooner its over the better since there is nothing else to look forward to in this crappy season  After Christmas is over I look forward to smokin hot weather. Warm weather means going to car shows, road trips and everything else... best time of the year, even better than the Christmas season!

I don't celebrate holidays so I'll be working just like any other time of the year.

I hate the Holidays...

Just reminds me of Long lines, Traffic, stupid people with dumb questions, snowbirds, and long hours.

I crave for the summer

Becareful buddy, The "War on Christmas" this year has to do with the word "X-Mas" apparently the Conservatives think it's disrespectful to replace the word "christ" with "X", even though the symbol X means "Chi" is some old language which in turn means christ. I wonder what the "War on Christmas" will be about next year.

There has always been a "war on Christmas". For me, I like Christmas, but not the holidays. They depress me for some reason, I guess it is because of the long lines, the people bickering in the isles, and the marketizing and secularization of the Christmas spirit. I don't even like them celebrating Jesus's day of birth (which is actually unknown, and probably closer to like May or April) the way we do. Techinically it is a pagan holiday that the Christians adapted early on because of pagan worship. It was a way to help appeal to those pagans by saying, "hey look, we have a similar festival! Come try it out!" which I do not put them down for it, but it is still a silly tradition.

Anyway, Happy Birthday Jesus!
