ya, i heard the west side got hit pretty hard. we didn't get hit as bad as i thought we would here on the east side of the state. Hope all goes well with everything for ya.

Her insurance company has accepted liability for the claim. I'm going in today to their adjuster to have the damage assessed.

I just can't wait to get it fixed.

We have power, we only were without if for about 10-12 hours. We were some of the lucky ones. It's just our phone and internet that are spotty. As far as places with power it's very random, there are some places in the kent/renton area that didn't get power back til yesterday. Then there are areas over here that they are telling may not have power for another 3-5 days.

I take my car in next Tuesday (day after Christmas) to the body shop. Adjuster said the bumper would just have to be repaired and repainted with a new license plate. I asked him about the ripples and dents and he said they should be able to fix it. The word should isn't too reassuring for me. But the way I see it, if it doesn't come out of the shop looking like it did before she hit me...it'll go back in until they fix it, or if they can't, replace the bumper.

I have pics...

Yeah to some people it's just scrapes and small dents, but to me it's worse then that, because none of that should be there.

I'm just thankful it's going to get fixed and I don't have to pay for it. Which I shouldn't have to anyway.

No it's not much. But considering my rear bumper, and quarter panel have already been replaced once, I didn't ever want to go through the whole claim process again. And it's enough for me, since there wasn't a scratch or anything on my bumper before she hit me. Now it looks like crap. Merry Christmas to me.

i got rear ended with NO damage to the bumper itself, but the impact bar under it was crushed.....

If anything under the bumper is damaged, then they will repair or replace it and contact her insurance company so they can cut them another check for that additional amount.

I already tried looking for an srt rear bumper and even for a body shop to get it, they're back ordered everywhere. I can't be without a bumper, and they're not going to replace the bumper if it doesn't need to be.
