Hey guys, I bought a 1:24 scale '06 Charger RT Daytona (FYI, not gonna do it as a "Daytona") and I need some ideas for the color themes. I am thinking of doing something like what Chip Foose would do. I have a concept chop that I did of a silver RT that had some Foose wheels on it...I just added the black and orange detail:
I just need some imput on this or other ideas you all may have. Also, this model is TOTALLY detailed, so I wanna do my best work on it. Thanks for ur help!

damn, that's a great chop there... only thing I'd change is making the black a gloss... dunno why but it doesn't look right as a flat black.
Also, what about making the orange more of a deep red? Not crimson, but darker?

Cuz I'm gonna do the engine orange and parts of the interior as well. Also, the black was supposed to be gloss...I don't know how to make it glossy?

ah ok, well the orange fits then. What about shaving off the side moulding? or is it molded into the plastic?
and I should ask, are we talking about a plastic model, or a metal put together one?

nope, it's plastic. and yes, the side mouldings are molded in, but I was planning on sanding them off anyways

Good man.
Other than that, I'd say it's in good shape so far... maybe a custom tiny intake?

What kind of paints are you using??? I find that the best glossy finish comes from using enamle (airbrushed)...
as for color scheme (I don't know the technical name) but the red/orange metalic color that is on the SRT-8 would be killer.

I did like 4 of those model cars. The first one was a gold/black integra. Then a red and black integra. Then a purple ek civic hatch w/ black and purple interior and black wheels, and the last one I did a while back was another ek hatch, metallic red w/ all black interior, gold shift knob, and gold wheels. Tinted taillights and headlights on both of the ek's. I went all out on those two
