So I got a new digital camera

I was tired of having to borrow my mom's camera all the time so I bought a new one.

It was on sale, and so was the 2gb SD card. They are on sale for $30 I believe? All at BestBuy.

I haven't really had a chance to play with it much since I bought it tonight. When I get my muffler welded on, and my eyelids on, I'll snap some photos.

Yeah dude, it was a sweet deal. I got the camera, a case, the SD card, and a set of rechargeable batteries with a charger, all for $270 after tax.

Wow that's a great deal. I'm not a fan of kodak's but 10X optical zoom, 7 megapixels, and a 2 gig SD card for 270? I wonder how long this sale is gonna be going on.

Negative, no dock, but I wasn't really interested in one. It's not sold as a package deal, but almost everything I bought was on sale.

HA! We got the same camera! I paid $199 for it off QVC a few weeks back. It came with 6 Kodak rechargeable batteries and a charger for free.

Best Buy has the camera and dock combo for $330 or so this week in their ad.

I love it! 10X optical, 4x digital, awesome lense, great shots with it so far. So easy to use. We need to get a case for it. I have a 1GB card.

Office Max or Staples has 1GB Lexar cards for $17.99 this week. They had a 3 pack of PNY 1GB cards for $45 for the past few weeks. Might wanna look into that as well. But, a 1GB card @ 7.1 MP nets me close to 1000 pics. Like I need more cards anytime soon? But for $17.99, why not? Don't forget to get a USB card reader instead of using the USB cable and camera. It's worth the $20 or less to save all that hassle.

jerry: which batteries did you get.

i have found that the energizer rechargable batteries are awesome. they are available at walmart and target. they recharge in 15 min with the right charger.

It's just all off-brand, but they warrent everything. Really nice customer service too.

Thats a really good price for 2GB. The only downside to cheap though is the data rate that the card can take. Slower rate means longer time to save pictures and that means less pictures you can take in a short amount of time. Other than that though, if you aren't looking to do sporting event shots where you need that fast recovery time between shots then you can't beat that price

I think they might be duracell for some reason, I haven't had a chance to use them yet. My camera came with a lithium battery, and it hasn't died yet.

the duracells are a little newer. im all about newer battery technology.

i took a chance on the radio shack brand batteries that recharged in 15 min for my nitro r/c truck because it was eating alkalines like TNK drinks beer. they were great and even though they cost $60 initially they worth the money. then when the energizers came out i grabed some of them for a digital camera. im sure the duracells are top notch too.
