Tax money came in! How did you spend it?

Post by blazesxt » Tue Feb 27, 2007 10:55 pm

I just received my tax return and decided to spoil myself a lil bit. Hell I worked hard for this money! I hit up Galleria mall and picked up some things.

Express: Two pairs of slacks and a polo shirt
Rockport: Black slip-ons

I also found a pretty good deal on a Moto Krzr K1m.

I stopped by Modern Performance the other day and bought the Prothane street motor mount inserts.

I will stop by Modern and will be picking up a set of Tokico blues this week. Look forward to seeing my car and my new suspension setup!

Took some pics for shits and giggles.

Nice dude. I get paid under the table so no returns for me. I wish I could stop by Modern Performance whenever I wanted. Damn you Houston.

I owed $39 to the federal.
With the remaining $13 I bought my self a monster, 2-foot-long, 5lbs burrito!

I havent received my refund yet, but I do have a couple hundred of it alloted for fun stuff. Im finally going to put an udp on the car. with that im installing a voltmeter in an srt boost guage housing as well. tinting the side markers and i might get nitehawks color matched 3rd brake light or airhorns or both. dont know yet. I do want to take care of all this stuff over spring break in a few weeks. so if my refund isnt here very soon ill be transfering money over from my savings and buying the stuff anyways.

forgot to include, the rest goes into my savings account

EDIT....
I don't go to the galleria because of 2 reasons
1. I ALWAYS end up spending more than $100 there
2. I'm tempted to bust my ass on the ice rink!

I get like $120 back from federal, but owe like $90 to state. Yea, not a happy camper his year.

I went straight to the HR department after I filed, and had my taxes adjusted so they take the most out each week, that way next year I'll get a hefty amount back.

i got close to $1500 back and it went pretty much to bills and to pay for my car. I was able to allocate some funds though to go to seattle in about two weeks.

Let's see - $400 or so at Sam's Club,
$200 for a chest freezer
$1500+ for my new iMac, software, laser printer, paper, USB cable and whatever else
$100 new sweeper
$300 for digital camera & memory
$300 for a new 5.1 surround sound/DVD changer
$200 on DVDs
$500 on dental work for the GF
$500 on misc.

I know I am forgetting a ton of stuff. We got a combined like $5500 and still have close to $1500 or more left. The computer and DVD changer/surround sound and the digital camera keeps us busy.

Don't keep your hopes up, working more doesn't necessarily mean you will get more back, especially if you put in a lot of overtime. Mostly people going to school are the ones that get the most back
