I won't get into a Huge arguement over this but as a Former High School and College Baseball Player, I believe that the HOF is missing something without the All-Time Hit king in Pete Rose. It would be like Hank Aaron or Cy Young not being in the Hall. (Aaron will be the Home Run Champ in my mind until someone legit passes him.)

Joe Jackson is another player that SHOULD be in the Hall of Fame... but oh well.. Baseball is full of people afraid of change. eh.. But I still LOVE the game.

The Vetrens Commitee decided not to vote anyone in again this year, 3rd year in a row. I guess there isnt any more bums like Bill Mazeroski to vote in.

I'm Very Happy to see Cal Ripken and Tony Gwynn going in. But it's said that players I watched growing up are not in the Hall of Fame.. I'm getting old.

I have to say out just b/c these people are idols amongst certain crowds, and by placing him in the HOF we are saying that breaking the rules is ok. I know that Pete did some great things in the game, but he should have thought about that before he did what he did.

I guess what I'm getting at is by placing him in the HOF, we are not only adding the things that he has done for the game, but we are also adding a "black-eye" on the HOF itself for saying that what he did was ok... it shouldn't be.

the dude was an awesome ball player, hands down. he deserves to go into the hall of fame, just like 'shoeless' joe jackson - why? they paid their debt to society, and good players deserve to go into the hall...
