Tim was pulled over on his way to work for having a modified exhaust. all he has is a vibrant dual exhaust. for $202. i'm not sure where to find the info for washington state. so i am hoping that maybe silver-es or someone else might know. he also tried to say he was driving aggressively. the speed limit is 45 but everyone was going 35. so when it was clear he uses his blinker to get over. he said the cop was rude and would even answer his questions. he wanted to know what he was getting the ticket for and all he says is "read it, oh and i'll see you in court". personally it seems like a profiling thing to me. but if anyone has any suggestions on where to look for info lemme know. thanks.

so unless the officer has a past history

it will be very hard to defend

RCW 46.37.390 in part states -

(3) No person shall modify the exhaust system of a motor vehicle in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted by the engine of such vehicle above that emitted by the muffler originally installed on the vehicle.

It's a shitty law but it is a law.

Boy do I feel bad for you guys...

This is one reason why i've remained stock in the exhaust department...about the time i was going to put a new one on...cops around here came down HARD on everything that made noise...they've calmed down a little over here lately though...sounds like its still in effect in other places

just move to a bad area where police officers actually have "real" stuff to worry about

Reminds me of reading about Riddler's old 1gen having a stock muffler, I don't remember many details but I know his car was fast.

Muffler police suck. Fresno is full of em. Got a ticket for the silver car and it was dismissed by a judge after I told her I bought the car with the muffler already on it.

Same thing basically here in WNY, I got 2 tickets for an 80series flowmaster setup and now im running the stock r/t muffler again....
SRT's and Cobalt SS's are even getting pulled over lately for there stock exhausts too!
