I was dead tired this morning because I stayed over at my girlfriends dorm so I waited til the last minute to get gasoline in my accord on the way to work this morning. The needle kept staying at E or dipping below it. So I filled it up with around 13-14 gallons and it ended up being 29.00! DAMN. I don't know how I'm going to be able to afford race fuel this summer for the SRT if this continues. The whole point in having a second car is to save on fuel and keep mileage and salt off the SRT. So far only two of the three are going my way.

You need to trade in the accord for a deawoo or something really small. Then try your hardest NOT to get run over.

A good thing that might come out of higher gas prices would be soccer moms giving up the Urban Assault Vehicles... But i'm being very optimistic.

The accord is really small. Go a google image search for 1987 Accord and you'll see.

Actually I was thinking of maybe doing a lease with a Hybrid Honda.

Lease is a scary word. Especially when you're paying for an SRT at the same time. but you know more about your money than i do.
Would you paint it like that? for me?

Premium is at $1.98gal here... According to AAA NJ has the lowest gas prices in the USA. Well what do you expect, I have 3 refineries within a stones throw.

I paid $45 the other day filling up the truck. 20 gallons of 87. Ive heard prices are supposed to go up to around $3/gal this summer.

I wish diesel were still cheaper. Its consistantly more expensive than gas out here. Kinda sucks, but maybe itll force me to keep the miles off the new truck when it gets here.

Reality check: O.K., gas prices suck when they keep going up, but do the math. Driving 15,000 miles per year @ 30 MPG = 500 gals of gas. At $2.00 per gallon that equals $1000. At $2.50 per gallon that equals $1,250. At $3.00 per gallon that equals $1,500. So, an increrase in gas prices to between $2.50 and $3.00, will cost you an additional $250 to $500 per year, or between $20 and $40 per month. I can't justify a different car, or really even drastically changing my driving habits, for that kind of money. BTW, gas here in Socal is $2.29 per gallon now.

Well the thing is to remember, my SRT only runs 93 or 94 Octane for one. Secondly, I have no idea how much longer my Accord is going to last. Third, a Electric/Gasoline Hybrid would save ALOT of money on gasoline a month. And also I got the accord for free passed down from my parents.

It was just an idea about leasing a Hybrid, I have no idea yet what I want to do.

$25 today... not to bad but I remember back a year or so when I could fill up for under $20

My city has a lot of refineriers too and has one of the higest prices for gas in the country right now. It doesnt seem to make a difference for us. Its at 95.9 cents/L here today and I need gas

I read an article sometime ago. Wish i still have it, was a great article. It talked about gas prices going up and why the author didnt understand people pissing about it, at least people with non-gas hog vehicles. He made a good point. Say gas goes up from $2.00 to $2.20 a gal. you have a 12 gal. tank. last week it cost you $24.00 to fill up, this week it cost you $26.40, a whopping $2.40 more. Now, think about how many times you eat for lunch and get that value meal super sized instead of normal size. Now how much do you spend to upgrade your meal each time, .50-1.00 and maybe you do that 2-3 times a week. If you are that freaked out about paying a couple dollars more a week on gas, maybe you should just not get that meal supersized. killing two birds with one stone, your equalling out the extra cost you spent on gas and your helping to keep that girlish figure we all strive for.

After reading that article, I could see right where the guy was coming from. Americans just want something to b!tch about when it comes to our money. I for one go to the gas station, look at the cost, push the 91 button and feel the tank, doesnt matter the cost to me. If i need gas, I need it, damn if i am gonna ride a bike or car pool my way around.

Time for me to get another mtn bike.....I do close to 20-25k a year drivin back an forth from Ft. Hood, TX to Denver, CO. I bout shot myself when I was at the pump yesterday, 2.17/gal 4 mid-grade, which is the lowest I care to run with all I have done.....

Food is something completely different then gasoline. There are some of us who purposely go to cheap food places all the time to save money or sometimes I don't even eat lunch because I am too busy working. You HAVE to eat food to stay alive, and you have to have gasoline to drive your car.

Here in Goldsboro, NC 87 octane is runnin between 2.00/gal to 2.05/gal....and 93 octane is runnin between 2.15/gal to 2.25/gal.........

it just cost me 35$ to fill my car up and I still had a 1/4 tank left....
