Why do we color eggs and celebrate a Rabbit ?

Is South Park true ? Was St. Petter a rabbit who ate eggs ? which was the first pope

The Bunny was the earthly representation of a pagan goddess eastre which was worshipped on the festival of eastre
Germans brought the legend of the easter rabbit to america and wasnt celebraqted widely untill after the civil war.
Also my thought that the actual meaning is from easter with pass over and the bunny reps leaping into spring and the renewel of life.
Which fits into the christian view of easter and the tradition of easter eggs.
The egg represents birth "and the bunny is to hide them for children and they are painted" That is where it becomes a commercialized holiday.
If you really read into what the true meaning of easter is and how its celebrated truely makes it a paganist holiday.

Ok, I know you all are talking about something else, but I love history, so I gathered some info that was good, and here you go.

Also, here is a link to Religious Tolerance which shares lots of different views on Easter and its origins - this one in particular also is about the Pagan roots of it.
