learning to use fiberglass

Post by Supermanneon » Thu Apr 12, 2007 3:35 pm

I would like to learn how to use and what tools i need to use fiberglass to make a few custom peices for my interior. Anyone with any info on a website? books? magazines? anything that will steer me in the right direction please let me know. Thanks!

^^ :tardbang:

I don't have experience with fiberglass but I know there are a couple guys on here who have done work with it. I'd look around in the project progress section. I know z3roneo, teamlivid, and crucialneon have all had fiberglass projects in there. Myztkal is also really good with it and may be a source of some information. Good luck.

its easy, just takes alot of time and practice. just go to walmart, buy the materials, go to a junk yard buy some cheap parts and start playing around. Sanding is the worst part. Make sure you wear a mask though.

heres a website with some basic info that should help you out.

http://ccs.exl.info/frame_installation.html (id check out the "fiberglass basics" link first)

Ive heard of people shaping chicken wire for a base and laying fiberglass & filler over it for things like ground fx and entire body kits.
