Whats a good digita camera to get??
My dc just took a crap on me and I'm looking for opinions on which one should I get next... I'm pretty much wanna get something that has high/good resolution so I can send pics to get photoshop and take some bad ass pics that look almost real or if you were right there when i took them...
So I guess post up some pics you took with your camera and tell me what camera you are using...

we just bought a Sony DSC-W55. Its a 7.2MP camera and it retails for $200 at Best Buy. We haven't taken any pictures yet because we just got it last nite because someone decided it would be a good idea to steal her Cannon PowerShot 410.
Playing around with it I'm pretty happy with it. The reviews on Amazon are good.
Normally for digital I would say Cannon or Olympus, but I'm liking Sony's right now. Nikon would also be a brand I would go with because of their reputation with film cameras.
Also you have to decide how bad ass of a camera you want. You can get a 7ish MP point and shoot or you can get a Digital SLR camera. Digital SLR's are really nice but really expensive too. The Cannon Digital Rebel is about $700 and is an 8MP camera. Then there is the Digital Rebel XTi that is about $900 and >10MP. Nikon is also and option in the Digital SLR field. You can spend upwards of $1300 if you really want to on a bad ass Digital SLR camera, but the pictures would be amazing.

Thanks, if you are trying to stay around 250, I'd check out Cannon's S line with the IS. You will get good MP, Optical Zoom and nice features, as well as some controls in Manual mode, if you dare.z3roneo wrote:Just looking for something that takes good pics with a reasonable price like around $200-$250....
Also love the pics Frizbe...
Keep them rollin...
I have a Kodak Z710. 10x optical, 4x digital, 7.1 MP. You can get them in packages on the net for like $250 with a bag, memory card, rechargeable batteries, etc. I paid $200 for mine with rechargeable batteries and a charger. We got ours off QVC believe it or not. I love it. It's basic enough for the average user but you can adjust things to your liking as well. It's not SLR but it's good.
SLRs make horrific photographers look like rock stars. It just takes practice and alot of different lenses for optimal shots. Plus PhotoShop is your friend!

imo about rechargable batteries.
when it comes to standard size batteries, AA, AAA, C, D 9V the energizer rechargable line is awesome.
but a lot of newer cameras are coming with their own battery because of size constraints.

Those are still some pretty damn cool pics, stig.
I'm using a Kodak Easy share C330, and I'm definitely no photographer. Here's a shot of the car I took the other day with it. More can be found in my picture thread "because everyone else is doing it" is the title, i believe.

Decent detail, and best of all, it was only like 100-150 or so when I bought it a year ago.

I could post pictures that my camera has taken, but that would be pointless. Just showing pictures will tell you nothing.

Not without posting the other information to go along with the picture. AKA the resolution, ISO sensetivity, color balance and a whole lot of other things that can effect the quality of a picture.
