i think thats the way ebay works, when you put in a proxy bid.
if one persons proxy bid overrides someone elses, it shows the same person multiple times.

just imagine how much THE general lee would go for, like the one that did all of the original dukes of hazard shows.

i thought i had read that there was one that was used in the shows. there is a link to the restoration of it.
maybe there were stunt doubles and for regular driving there was only one.

Nope, as I recall, they had several of each version, jump cars, close up cars, etc etc, and they wrecked them regularly, and were rebuilding them like fiends...
Can you imagine owning one of those cars now? I imagine no part of that car at all is original anymore! Not to mention how many times it's been folded in half!

Well, the guy that ended up the winning bidder usually buys cheap pocket knives and sells other miscellaneous crap on eBay, so I don't think he's actually forking out 9.9 million. If you look at the username's history and see what kind of cash they're doling out on a regular basis, you can get a feel for if they're authentic or not. It's not strange to see guys that regularly spend 200,000 on cars, but they do it all the time, and that's how they make their living. The guy that won this auction probably doesn't have more than $3000 to his name...
