"Bad Luck" Thread
I'm curious to see if anyone else is having terrible luck outside of me. That, and I need to vent about everything that's been going.
-Bought a janky body kit for $400
-Found out it would cost over $800 to fix janky body kit
-Kept buying wrong parts for air ride. Just rushed into it too much
-Had my window broken out ($137 to repair.. still needs tinted 20%)
-Stereo, Amp, and iPod were all stolen ($1000+ worth of crap)
-Night that my car was broken into, my escort died on the way back to michigan and I was stranded. Had to call a friend to come get me.
-Escort gets towed away. Had to spend $250 to get it back
-Drop $300 phone into water... it's ruined. Spend $200 for a reaplacement off of eBay
-SRT I really want may be sold already
-On the way to go get a replacement phone, I get a speeding ticket. 85 in a 70. $140, 2 more points on the license. (Could of SWORN my speedo was around 80 the whole time...)
-Get a letter from pay-pal saying I owe them $300... gotta pay soon or it goes against my credit. (LONG story... not getting into it. Half the reason why I hate pay-pal)
-Having LOTS of emotional problems with the ex/roomate.
-Getting stressed as SHIT from all the projects that are being thrown at me here at work
-I'm trying to get everything together so I can buy a SRT and get an apartment... But, it's just not working out!
I -think- that's it right now....
Total cost of bad luck: $2,430 just thrown away.
I've said it before, and I'll say it now. I just cannot catch a break.
On a GOOD note, I've sold off my air ride, and almost every part off my car... So I have -some- of the money. Of corse, that money WAS going to go towards paying off my car so I can sell it. Now I'm not too sure....

I feel that I've had alot of Hexes while I lived here in Reno... I guess in light of everything, all the bad luck that I think I have had has amounted up to just a huge pile of little things, while the larger ones I've been able to cope with a lot better.
- I've had bad roommates for 2 years, but I finally got a good one
- I was in a car accident, I'm alive and have another Neon.
The only bit of bad luck that I have to say I've had here is not being able to win the love of a close friend. She is now moving across the country, and I'm moving back home.... I hope to find another when I'm no longer near her, cause I can't seem to let go right now.
Its this crap that makes life interesting for me, and also really lets me know what is good in life and enjoy it alot more. Oh well... just my ramblings...

You know, I learned something in class (yeah!! college does pay off!!) that really helps change your perspective on things: Instead of saying should have, could have, would have, must, have too, need, etc... say choose. Simple change of words will help change your perspective.
Now, you may be saying "Hey, this stuff happened to me, not that I brought it on myself!!!" True, but let's do this...
I chose (past tense) to buy a $400 body kit that needs repairs of $800.
I chose to leave my iPod in the car.
I chose to buy air ride for my car.
I choose (present tense) to replace my cell phone.
I choose to pay $300 to pay-pal.
I choose to work, regardless of the amount of projects thrown at me.
...the list goes on.
I say this because it helped me BIG time to accept that I only make $6.50 plus tips, put tons of miles on my ACR, and that I do not suport my family now.
I choose to be a delivery driver. Now the responsibility is mine, and I accept it, and no longer do I get frustrated about the milage, the gas, the low pay, etc. It helped, really it did!
I hope you don't take offense to this, and I hope you consider what I said, and apply it. You may be surprised how well this hippie stuff helps.

I look at life with the belief of "everything happens for a reason."
Normally I'm able to link things together... figure out why things are going wrong. It's becomming harder and harder to figure out why all of this is happening, but I still stand by it.
Time will play everything out. I'm still smiling. I have my health. That's all that matters.

I would take me hours upon hours to list my problems. But it wouldn't change the fact that I have them nor would it solve them. But the way I see it these were choices I made and now I need deal with the conaquentacnes.
I have 25,000 in debut that I brought on myself and when I look around I have nothing to show for that 25k. Other then the monthly bill.
