I bought my SRT on May 29th of last year. I had stopped for gas several times in Iowa and Illinois during the drive home from the dealership and decided to stop for one last fillup before parking the new car in the garage. At the BP station in Crawfordsville, IN at US 231 and I-74, premium was $1.87 . Remember, this was Memorial Day weekend in the Indianapolis area just one year ago.

There is no oil shortage, just a shortage of refineries to make gasoline. With the ridiculous profits the oil companies have been making the last few years, there is no reason why new refineries that will comply with environmental laws can't be built. Why the federal and state governments don't investigate the obvious price fixing being done by the oil companies is beyond me.

By the way, I hate to resurrect a dead thread but maybe I was right...
