its official, Im gonna begin to walk everywhere bc gas is now $3.35 here in columbus and enough is enough, I could take $2.95 or even $3.12 but this is :cussing: ridiculous. If it keeps up, Im just gonna by a motorcycle and never drive my car, or just walk everywhere. Anybody else feel like they are gettin :owned: by the economy?? :banghead:

There's nothing that we can do about it. It's up to the Government.

I will continue to drive and enjoy it.

All it means is eating one less time at a fast food place

How much is 93 right now? I have no idea.

They have a refinery down for maintenace. As for gas prices being a bunch, go to Europe. Its like $11 USD there, or somewhere in that range.

Normally, my 93 octane fill ups would be right around $20. Now, it costs damn near if not over $35.00. That's a 75% increase. FUCK GAS. I'm going to start pooring corn juice in my damn car.

That's one of the main reasons why I recently bought myself a motorcycle. As soon as she's ready for the street, that's probably all I'll drive... Unless, of course, it's raining or snowing.

I'm with Moxie, I'll drive where I want when I want, and won't complain about the prices.
We, as Americans, have the cheapest oil in the world, and yet we bitch when it costs a mere 1/4 of what most of the world pays.

Plus if I have to make $50 filups to end the rein of dinosaur sized SUV's, I'm more than happy to.

This one guy on another forum filled up his Ram SRT-10 and it cost him $107.

I love my 4 banger. :love4:

Gotta realize in Europe they don't drive nearly as much as we do. Everything is so close.

*shrugs* We pay what we have to pay. I, for one, am lazy as hell. I'll drive where ever I want to, when I want to.

When I first started to drive, almost 5 years ago, it cost about $16 to fill up my Festiva. Now I spend $26 to fill up a neon with a 3 gallon bigger tank. Doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me.

Do Neons have really small gas tanks? To fill up my parents' 9-5 (18 gallon tank) with 87 it's well over $50...

yeah.... Reno is at 3.89 for the 91 octane. We might have the cheapest gas, and that I guess I'm lucky to have available... what gets my goat is that they made 40million in PROFITS last year... i know they are a business... butt damn.. thats alot of profit.

I feel sorry for that guy. wonder how many miles he got out of it? 75-150? 500+ horses eats thru 91 octane. And you don't buy a truck like that to drive sensibly. but i bet he's not hurtin for the $107... he did afford an srt-10

ehh, cant do anything about it so ehh.

i am with hansken with the profits of exxon mobil. we are taking a big hit and they are making booko bucks.

but like i said, cant do anything about it.

im also with cgpeon, you cant compare us to europe. i drive 40miles each day for school, i bet people overthere would flip at a 40 mile round trip to work/school. the mass transit system overthere is also far superior to ours.

also, im planning on building a 750hp 540ci big block, yes thats right 8.85L. and im sure by the time i get to it gas will be even more.

just thinking my dad probably spends almost $90 to fill up his truck. he does it once a week, and its got a 35 gallon tank.

but its certainly more practical than an SRT ram.

diesel FTW power and mileage (for a truck)

i hate when people compare us to europe or something....we are used to our cheap gas prices...i bet over there....if their gas prices raised 2 dollars for no legitament reason they'd be flipping out too...i don't complain out the prices...i complain b/c they go up and down for NO reasons at all

today i got a Txt message from a lot of ppl to not get gas today. It was also on the news..

Something has to be done by EVERYONE not just a couple people.

Mass Protest?

a mass protest does NOTHING

lets say that every single person in the country didnt buy gas today. ok so gas stations make nothing today. but tomorrow their sales will go through the roof.

WE NEED OIL/GAS nothing is going to change that in the near future.

im glad i didnt get that txt, i would have been pissed that i had to pay the costs to read that drivel.

Exactly, I smurf you not you can sit in front of the gas station on the corner here for 24 hrs and the price changes four times! I bought gas one morning and by the time I got home after work it went up 5 cents...next day down 2 cents! WTF?! I think the price should change on a weekly basis not an hourly basis. You can't tell me the oil industry is that unstable that they have to change the prices that frequently. If thats the case we seriously need to get flux capacitor pwered cars or something quick!

we should have a cap on gas prices....

88MPH FTW!!! In that case we would in turn be the end of the dinosaurs, bc everyone would be goin back in time to kill the bastards lol

lol but in all seriousness, its ridiculous for a price to jump overnight, and even every hour, I wish there was an easy solution.. Right now we are gettin :owned: by the gas companies. I mean my senior year of HS back in 2004 I remember gas being like 1.85ish. I would kill to have that price back. Granted my dad recently paid 1.75 for 87 in Detroit in Feb.
