I think it's funny that it's a problem at all. So he posts alot, is it hurting anybody, has he offended anybody, has he broke a rule? I think we all have much more important things in our day to day lives to deal with instead of worrying about how much someone posts on a forum. Then again, that's probably why I would never be a mod, I wouldnt' get all worked up over the small stuff.

BS, I'll jump on the bandwagon with TNK. He is unfairly targeted. Yes, I will agree that his post count brings attention to himself but how is his post count make the sight not run smoothly?

And I don't care what consequences this brings on me but I've read many of your posts on here directed towards TiNK that are things a mod should deal with via PM, not in the public.

my first reply was not about me....it was about the mods....

take this under consideration....when your a mod...you try to read every single thread. And this doesn't even affect me(b/c my section doesn't get post whored)...i'm just repeating what other mods have said...and you can maybe get one once a day maybe every other....now when you have a large section and you have to look 3 additional pages in a bunch of different threads that get tacked on in a couple of hours....makes reading your section take 3 times the amount of time it normally does to check your section.

that's what the whole "post whoring" thing affects....

and i very very much dissagree with you.....you can't cry if you are noticed when you plaster a big target on yourself...

Ok, so here is a question that hasn't been addressed. If TiNK gets a post limit shouldn't everyone else that posts atleast 14+ times a day get one too? Or is it just that every person who hits 15k will be subject to one.

Gotta have some consistency somewhere.

Tink i dont know where you and others are getting this banned idea from, the issue was brought up to discuss and so far nobody has said anything about banning you.. I focks with you hard(no homo) and i dont agreee with the fact of throwing staff out there like that cause you have people fending for you.

I agree with jvilla we should remove the post counts for everyone cause they mean nothing to no topics. the only reason tink is even in discussion about this cause there is a 9k and a 15k post made by TINK.

Haha, I feel that my Save teh TiNK user title is giving mods the idea that we think you are going to ban him.

I meant it more along the lines of save him from any form of negative action, including a post limit.

Also, who is actually standing up for him, both now and back during the original post limit? I'd be curious to see the conversation?

I do remember during the original post limit, in fact it's in TNK's 9k post, a certain mod actually thought he should have less then 50 a day. Doesn't seem like standing up for him to me.

Tink makes it hard on him self for anybody to defend him cause, when you make a post about how much you post whore then its kind of a smack in the face to say post whoring is wrong but we will allow tink to do it.. its never an issue untill he brings it to everybody attention and then others go yea you know what lets do what he did and now we have 10-15 people doing the same thing. Tink was never a target , Tink targeted himself. Frankly i enjoy tinks convo and it doesnt effect my section but if someone apologise for doing something and they are aware that what they are doing is wrong dont set yourself up by bragging that you did it again.......

and all those post you are refering to are either old or locked and all under like 2000 post... but i see where your coming from. If i was a drug dealer, even tho many people do it doesnt make it right nor does braging about it make it a smart idea.....

Exactly, it doesn't matter how old those posts are, if they are locked, or how many posts they were about. It's the same principle. Mods keep saying that he brought this on himself by making a post about his post count, that's been done before and it wasn't an issue. In all reality someone needs to just step up and say what their real problem with it all is, how often he posts. Apparenlty the issue isn't his posts per day, because he isn't the highest. Also his posts about his post count shouldn't be the issue either because he isn't the first one to do that and when it was done in the past it wasn't an issue. If something is going to be done or if mods are complaining about it then it needs to be consistent to EVERYONE on the forum and we atleast need a straight reason why.

According to the board rules post whoring is allowed in off-topic. Therefore this 15k post shouldn't even be an issue period.

Also, nothing against you Krack as you are a great guy and I see your point about it being hard to defend him. But if it's hard for a mod to defend him then they shouldn't claim they have or are.

Well i cant speak for other mods only myself and if i had a direct problem with tink concerning my section of the boards i would address that to him personally. apprently Jason and tink have talked about this in the past and i have no idea what was exactly talked about thats between them two. what ever agreements that was made about the postwhoring is between them, all I am saying is if there is no post counts counters then we wouldnt have nothing to talk about point blank.

SPECIALLY when it comes to buying something. If they're really active here, then you can trust 'em a bit more.

thats what feedback and the user sign up date is for. the srt forum doesnt have a post count. So your force to rely on feedbacks.
