That happened to some guy with a SRT that had stripes on his car and a company selling vinyl stripes used a pic of his car and he found out, though he took it as a compliment. Do with it what you will.

doesn't really bother me, just curious what others think.

I would take it as a compliment, but it would be of them to give you a free product, since they did use your car.

He won't benefit.. if he complains they will just take the picture down. The pictures are not copyrighted so he can't really take "legal" action for lack of a better word..
I'd just take it as a compliment.

Yeah, it's too bad that you won't be compensated for their unauthorized use of the pic.

if you had some type of mark on the picture saying its yours on the pictures and he used them then you could take legal action (i do believe).
But I would take it as a compliment since he is using your wife's car to sell his product online.

Ebay auction thumbnail:
I saw that last year, and said, "That looks familiar..." They used my truck, the leftmost one in the picture:
And at any gtiven day you can do a search for "Tacoma tail lights" and see my truck on listings:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-96-97 ... dZViewItem
And my truck's cardomain:

page 2, visual mods. My TRD decal isn't in the OEM location, so I know for certain (plus I took the picture in front of the office). And yes, as
Haganracing said, I was flattered.

you are wrong. Any creative work derived from a person is basically copyrighted. You dont have to officially watermark or copyright any of your work for it to belong to you.

When I had my Cougar I had alot of problems with this. Some company used it for their ad in Import Tuner and Superstreet. Another company used it on ebay for the front bumper. One person tryed to claim they owned it and try and sell the whole car on ebay and a few fakes on cardomains. After thinking about it I was happy. I mean shit my car was in Import tuner LOL
