Silversport, please refrain from the personal bashing. It will only result in more flaming and needless bickering.

I'd really rather not have to lock this topic since it's getting some CBD issues out on the table and making potential customers aware of issues that may arise when/if they order CBD products.

I agree with Joe on this one, however, the Mopar Lip kit is a great example. Chrysler specifically says that it should be installed by a licensed body shop/professionals.

I installed it myself, in my driveway. When you see it at Carlisle Joe, you'll see how great it fits. I don't claim to be a professional by any means. However when I purchase a product that I am told goes on very easily and has great quality, and I receive a peice with negligable quality and poor fit and finish, there's only so much one can do to make it work.

At this point, I am going to have this thread locked, as I came to a resolution. I emailed John, the owner of CBD and he has agreed to fully refund my money, and has agreed that perhaps, this part was sub-par.

Thanks for all your input, glad to see everyone realize that maybe CBD isn't the "be-all, end-all" of CF producers.

As the advisement of John, the owner of CBD I took the option of returning my ill-fitting PVO style spoiler.

I packaged it all up, with bubble wrap, styrofoam wrap, and shrink wrap, stuffed it in a box, paid $60 CDN to ship it to them with insurance and waited.

Now, while tracking the package through Canada Post and USPS I have seen that the receiver has REFUSED!! the package. :twisted:

What a joke! I have been trying to get this issue resolved for ages, and now this. I expect a call or a solution from CBD imediately. :beatstick:

When I bought my eyelids from them way back in the day, they sent me the wrong ones. We called and sent them back, and the guy we talked to said something about how the dude who sent them out was filling in that day and screwed a lot of shit up. Long story short, they gave me the right lids, AND a 50$ discount on my next purchase. Thats decent customer service IMO. I do think what happened to eclecticblue was garbage though, it sounds like they have new management or something.

Hmm I don't know about your country, but here in mine, Email is admissable in court as evidence. Even in small claims. If you file in your state, CBD has to show up in your state, and most Small Claims courts don't allow representation by an attorney, so....

so he would have to go himself. But again I don't know about Canada. Still....

His email constitutes a legal, binding agreement in, well, in every State of the Union, and his shipper-documented refusal consitutes breach of that agreement, and now you have 100% grounds for suit. I imagine Canadian law isn't too different in this.

What is more, you can sue for more than the value of the part. Include your court filing costs, shipping to you, return to them, and tack on money for the labor for a shop to install a CF hood w/ associated hardware (hood pins, whatever). It doesn't matter that you didn't have a shop do it, the labor required by someone to install it still constitutes a dollar value, and you can use an estimate froma body shop to prove this value in court.

Good luck. I don't know how Canadian law works, but I can't imagine it less just than what I described above. I'd look into it, if I were you.

CBD hood...... bad. The hood that is on my car is warped and it does not fit right. The gap on one side is perfect, but its huge on the other. How do I go about fixing that? Will they replace it?
