Well, it takes a certain kind of crazy to own a fwd compact car the has 300hp stock... and I'm just that kind of crazy
Plus I'm one of them god-awful, dreaded, die hard Mopar guys... Mopar or no car!
So I'd hit it like there's no tomorrow. I’d hit it like Joey Buttafuoco hit Joanie Laurer; like asking a blackjack dealer for another card. But I really want a Challenger coupe.

There is only one SRT-4 and production ceased in the '05 model year. End of story.

Give me the engine and 6 spd transmisson, drop it into a neon, then we'll talk.
Until then, I'm with Gramps. There is only one SRT-4. Lets hope Cerebus comes to there senses and brings it back.

For a Caliber I think it looks good but I still don't like the Calibers

No the original srt4 in my opinion is a dodge spirit r/t.....it wasn't called a srt4 but it was just as good for one in early 90's

Well, Spirit R/T and Daytona R/T were WAY ahead of their time, and are still for many old-skewl Chrysler Turbo enthusiasts, considered the grail.
But they were designed originally by Carroll Shelby, believe it or not, even though they never were emblazened by his badging. SRT, for me, is a
new series, with new intentions from DC. It's meant as the "premium of premiums" in a limited run, for many cars, and not specifically a turbo package, either, if you consider the SRT-8 and SRT-10 cars.
He Hate Me wrote:"To each their own"

Well now that depends... from a
performance perspective, the Neon chassis is superior to the Caliber. The horsepower difference is easilly made up through changes to the forced induction system, so other than possible spark revision, there's not a lot of difference between the two engine platforms. Balance shafts, if anything, are
parasitic, and I'd remove them anyways (that is, after all, what the old-school Chrysler Turbo guys do with the 2.5L SOHC engines w/ balance shafts).
So in the end, the only notable difference between these vehicles is the chassis.
Putting aesthetics aside, this chassis is taller, heaver, and from visual observations, much heavier in the posterior which for a FWD, is a negative factor in handling.
So given the choice, I'd rather have a Neon SRT-4. The Caliber SRT-4 will be fast in a straight line, but I'd be afraid to really push it on a canyon road.

I don't really like the new looks of Dodge's, they are too "boxey" to me, hmph, so I don't care for the Caliber too much.

Idk I think I would still push the caliber, but idk.... I think it would be fun to test drive...

most new cars, foreign or domestic are heading towards a more boxy look, can't stand it.
I'd drive this car. I'm a power junkie, 300hp is sick.

from reading other articles and other forums,
It probably won't have 300hp because the chassis is having lots of troubles.
