Depends is the Z automatic or manual and the year. I know the VG motors that come in those cars are pretty nice and produce about 200hp N/A.
Just go get an SRT-4 lol
EDIT: If its turbo go for it

The 300 is very very expensive to fix. It's a total cluster to work on plus the price of parts is way up there.
It's a great toy but not for a daily driver. If you want a cool daily driver that you can mod, this ain't it.
Get something like a Lexus SC300 for $5K or so with 100K. Lots of potential, lots of easy mods, RWD, luxurious and cheap! Turn it into a Soarer.

If it is rough, then I wouldnt do it, like stated above, expensive to work on, and not easy!
I would get an srt4

Try and find a clean 240-260 (avoid the 280 you loose all the pretty and get a nice jap 80's interior) and drive it. Cheap to fix everybody makes parts and it will never die (if you keep the rust away) there is one around me that could use about $2000 of work and they want $1900 for it, remember it takes $5000 to have a clean daily driver 2xxz do with it what you will.

depends on the 280 you get ... an early 70's model has nearly the same interior as the 260 .... but bigger bumpers ...bone-yard-racing wrote:Try and find a clean 240-260 (avoid the 280 you loose all the pretty and get a nice jap 80's interior) and drive it. Basket cases, ask yourself this, how many do you see on the road, versus how many do you see parked or abandoned?

In and around ottawa you don't see many, rare, but you will see just as many parked behind a garage or on someones lawn with a for sale sign as will you see on the road.
Just a few blocks away from my place someone has one parked on his lawn with a for sale sign, he wants $3000 , and a few blocks further from there theres a garage that has had one parked behind it for months..... but then again... that garage ALWAYS has a carrera gt parked there too.

If you arent a midget avoid the del sole (however you spell it). Think of this when you are sitting on the side of the road because your boosted water bottle of an engine just exploded remember you could be getting to where you are going just great if not as thrilled in the neon or you could sit in your 240 as happy as you ever have been. If you get a 240,260,or,(early)280 you are free and clear with emissions.

A del sol? If you want... I guess. Why not just get a first gen R/T or ACR with some bolt ons and have some fun with that?
