TV Help

Post by racer12306 » Fri Aug 31, 2007 3:22 pm

I have been having a "problem" since I got a new TV. On the drag racing games for PS2 that I play, I used to be able to cut a reasonable reaction time. But as soon as I got my new TV I couldn't cut a light to save my ass.

Anyone know of any settings that could be messed with to help out?

ie. I used to cut say .070ish lights, now its rare that im below .12 and most of the time I cut a .150 or .160.

Thanks

Its a WideScreen.. Make sure you have the component cables and you setup your PS2 to run at Progressive scan and if there is a widescreen setting change it to that.

Alot of people have trouble with Games on WideScreen TVs with their PS2. I remember at the Madden tournament a few years ago nobody could hit a field goal to save their life because of it.

Whats the Model number of the TV? and why did you buy one from Wal-mart lol.

Is this it?

I run a Magnolia Home Theater, so I'm used to do this sort of trouble shooting.

I do have component cables. That is almost exactly like my TV, and I guess it is 30". Minor differences in badging and I don't have the RCA plugs upfront. I don't know the model number, its probably on the back of the TV, and I don't feel like moving it or the entertainment center.

I'll go into the PS2's menu and change those settings.

edit: Here's another question, how do I make these adjustments?

Is is a projection TV? I know that Guitar Hero has a calibration built into the settings for that.
