Nokia phones, like said before, are not "cool" in a lot of peoples opinions. but I think they are the smartest dumb phone out there. they can sync with outlook, pretty much all contacts info, outlooks calander and it is very easy and free to download your pics. Samsung is making some feature packed phones also! happy shopping!

I concur, and I as well own a Blackjack. You can use Moto Q themes and make your phone really cool. I have a Mac theme, and a Mobile Vista theme.

so after actually gettin the w580i, i didn't really care for it.. the plastic felt cheap, the slider felt loose. So i returned it and got a black one. Then proceded to put that on ebay.
And then bought a badass phone. I already had the motorola rokr e1, so i bought the rokr e6 touchscreen pda phone that can use a 4gb sd card. Here is the ebay link.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=013
Phone was only released in asia, but it works here! It runs on a linux os. I have now had it for 2 days and i am in love with it!

working in the cell phone company i can tell u one thing....Motorola phones usually suck. They tend to be cheaper, and battery life is poor. The K1m is prob the worst phone ever. My borhter and wife both had it, and got rid of it bc the battery died really quick. I sell LG all day long. Samsung is up at the top as well.
The blackjack is an ok phone, i have a friend with it. It has stable software, but the battery life sucks.
As for people with the iphone, wiat till verizon launches the Voyager...it will blow your mind. I have used the iphone and it is impossible to type on it (i do 3000+ text a month). They voyager will have a full keypad like the Env, but the front is all touch screen, and it has a full HTML browser.
Blackberry has been the best phone i have ever carried. I have the Blackberry 8830 (also known as the curve). Internet is awesome (using opera mini on mine) and fast. I use Blackberry messenger all day lone (kinda like IM for Blackberry users) and have all my email and appointments set up on it...i love it, and im addicded to it...its really like crack. oh and we just dropped internet price on it $29.99 a month, used to be $44.99
Lastly for people that dont want to sign a contract, you wouldnt be scared if your cell phone works (sales pitch time). Verizon first gives u 30 days to try our service, if your not happy then take your number somewhere else, and we will credit everything back for u. Next we are the only carrier to prorate our early term fees...thats right, we will drop your ETF fee every month Lastly, our prices are pretty much the same as everyone else.
Yeah i know im biased bc i work for Verizon, but i truely think we have the best service, customer service, and overall experience at the store....i have worked for other carriers and they are def not compairable to verizon...ok thats all i got

three major things i love about cingular/att
1. sim cards
2. roll over minutes
3. Service everywhere in my area where other company's don't get service. I don't exactly live in a hugely popularity area.
things i hate with cingular/att is working with them in a store(people are so lazy and don't wanna help you) and on the phone it's horrible. One person says they can't do something, then the next person says they can.
But i've been happy for over 4 years on att that i am just happy staying. And i got my phone for free, well actually i got paid 3 dollars to get my phone.
And every review i have scene on my rokr e6 has been awesome. Phone has been out for a year and no major problems have rissin up with them. Plus i have my old rokr e1 as a back up.

just internet/email price on the blackberry...any other PDA phone is still $44.99/month (soon to be dropping by the new year)
for an aircard its $59.99/month
Edit: The speeds for the phone and aircard are similar, aircards are a little bit faster...speeds are like Dsl...i would have an aircard, but i have cable ands its faster, plus i use a router, so it wont work with that

It all varies by market. One thing to note is that Motorola makes good GSM phones, but pretty poor CDMA phones. LG and Samsung make good CDMA phones, but not so great GSM phones.
Agreed about the BlackJack. Good phone for the price, but keep a charger handy.
iPhone is cool if you want something entertaining, but it's not really useful. It has neat flashy stuff. No 3G internet though.
The GSM blackberries don't have any 3G either, so I don't recommend them to people that do a lot of web browsing. Awesome devices otherwise though. AT&T prices mirror Verizon, so we did the same on the internet prices.
100% agreed on the following paragraph.
Wrong about the early term fees. It's state by state. State laws regulate them. Ours are $175 flat, or $280 prorate, if I remember right.
Again, it's all subjective. Every company has similar policies and some employees that have common sense to back it up and bend the rules when appropriate, and then some lemmings that are on a power trip over telling customers to f**k off. Verizon is a good company overall, as is AT&T, but in the western half of the US, you guys have us beat for sure in coverage.

wait so u prorate your Early term fee's too...hmm thought we were the only one to do that..Im pretty sure every VZW cust has a $175 term fee at start, then it gets lower as they go on with the contract...im not aware that they are differnt for differnt states, ill have to look into that
