I had a guy try to run me down on the street this afternoon, but due to traffic he couldn't get up to me. i think i blew off when i passed him and he wanted to see what the car was. anyways, he high-beamed me to pull over, and we got to talking. he asked a bunch of questions about the car, and when i told him it was turbo'd, he said his was twin turbo. so what i'm wondering is, what stock audi's came twin turbo in '04? i'm leaving for a surprise birthday right now, don't have time to research. hoping someone can help me out and save me some time. lookin for horsepower and quarter mile specs. he wants to go to the track and run lol. thanks in advance.

Edit: no, it wasn't an audi TT.

looks like that's what it is. wiki lists one in '04 with a 250HP 2.7T v6. must be some small ass turbos lol. what i wasn't able to find was quarter mile times. it also looks like the car weighs in on the heavy side of 2 tons, and retailed for $40k+. i'd love to know some times on these, and show this guy my rear bumper at the track.

You shouldn't have any problems with this guy. If it was a A6 with little or no mods you should have him seeing your taillights by the beginning of 3rd gear if not 2nd gear so long as you get a decent launch.

Watch the all wheel drive, he WILL get the holeshot on you, and could possibly stay there if he's any good.

Same engine as my S4, REDICULOUSLY responsive to ALL mods, but for only $599, you get 60 more HP, and 110 lbs of torque!!!

Exhaust is like $1200, puts down about 30WHP. Intercoolers are as cheap as $399, and give up about 40whp, a K&N drop in can net 30whp with a teeny tiny intake mod that A LOT of Audi guys do.

But the A6 is a tug-boat, over 4000lbs!

dude says his car is "stock". of course this don't mean shit lol.

Lambo, the 60HP 110Lbft upgrade must be an ECU?

I'm thinking it was an S4. Those things are bi-turbo and rated at around 278ish stock with 220 tq. according to the dyno results I've witnessed. Lambo is right when it comes to ECU upgrades and all that. They respond well to mods in the reflashing of maps and stuff. Its bi turbo AWD 4 cylinder. I'd rock one if I had a better driving record and more moolah lying around.

You're a bit off. They are a 2.7L Twin Turbo V-6 AWD, they are rated at 250hp, 260tq stock, they dyno around 200AWHP stock.

Both the S4, and A6 share those engines, with the A6 MILDLY detuned, they run around 180AWHP stock.

Mine has Chip, exhaust, intercoolers, K&N, and an intake mod, it puts down 322 to all four.

They lag a bit, but at 3000rpm it starts pulling like a freight train....and doesn't stop till you take your foot out of the loud pedal. But launching is insane with all wheel drive when it's putting down over 300 to the ground.
