Well, delivery on my test calendar should be today since I paid for overnight shipping to get it out by the time I said I'd have it out lol. I finished it up on Sunday... not a wide range types of cars like I like to have from stock to fully modded show cars but it's not bad. Hopefully everyone likes it... if it does come today I'll post pictures of it and toss it up for sale

Yep, still waiting. UPS delivers to our house around 6-7pm so you all should know something by end of the night.

So you didn't think there was much variety? I find that surprizing, considering the people who posted in the thread tht they were sending pics, and how between them all, their cars are quite varied in appearance. Did you get that many unusable photos?

I think my car looked pretty darn good (better than it’s looked in a long time, at least) but I’m really concerned about the background, haha.

I do this every year, try and be more specific on what I need as far as pictures go, no camera phone pictures, night pictures without a tripod, thumbnail pictures... ones that are only 640x480 in size, dirty cars, etc... it never fails... I'll get quite a few submissions but a lot aren't useable due to the size and/or quality of the picture which is why I said, you're car could look fantasic but if the picture quality isn't as good as others then I can't use it. If I don't use someones pictures it's not that I'm saying your car looks like poop, it's that there was another member that submitted better pictures which kinda bumped ya out. There might be one car every year that I'll be torn on in putting it in but I try to give some variety. That being either a mix of modded and stock cars to different colors so the calendar isn't filled with a bunch of silver cars since thats about the most popular color.

Some people make the suggestion to put it up for a vote on who should be in it and while thats a fantastic idea, there just aren't enough submissions to be able to do it since I just barely get by on getting 11 decent pictures (12th is the carlisle picture). Some cars I got were very nice, just couldn't use the picture

One was taken by a professional photographer but b/c of that I need permission from the photographer to use the pictures

I got one that was a really great picture, just too small... if I had gotten the original before it was resized, it probably would have made it.

Are the people who took bad pics of good cars elligible for '09 submissions then? I know you told us that you were trying to avoid people who'd already been on the calendar or looked still pretty much the same as before... but let's say Person #1 sends you a picture, it's not useable, but you like their car... so they don't make the '08 calendar. Are they elligible to take better pics and submit the same car for '09, even though since then they haven't really changed significantly?

I would assume that since they weren't in the calandar then yes they are eligable for next year.

Shoot, if all entraints we eliminated from contention then there would be no one left the next year.

Its the glue they used when they repainted the car. and I cannot get it off without taking the paint with it.

damn it. that was probably me... i suck at this photo thing. but i didn't resize mine. they were probably too small from the get go

Hope that wasn't my burnout picture because he gave me the ok and sent me all the high res images. He was there shooting something else and just happen to get it.

Course I didn't really officially submit anything this because I was in it last year.
