yeah, so im 2 hours into my 8 hours of overtime tonight.... i requested the weekend off.. and what do they do... they give me graveyard. fucking bastards. meh. i'm checking 2gn and deleting my history, as well as checking over my shoulder.... i would much rather be at home, in bed, asleep next to the wifey... but no... i'm at work..... at least i'm getting time and a half... 15 buxx an hour baby.. woopty doo da! oh well, BREAK TIME!

I can relate to your night... about a year and a half ago I had to work graveyard one week out of every month then switch back to 1st shift the following week. Several times even working the graveyard I had to stay for overtime and one time it was really bad. What I was doing was burning thousands of CDs for our customers MANUALLY (that means I had to do ALL the clicking for 8+ hours, or if a CD took while I'd be surfing while it was doing its thing). Well I came in on Friday around 4pm, which isn't too bad, I burned up until around 5am then I discovered a major problem with the system and all the CDs that I burned were pretty much garbage. I made some phone calls and fixed the problem and all in all I was stuck at work for just under 24 hours strait... with no food breaks. So I didn't get home until Saturday afternoon and then went strait to bed and slept for 20 hours strait... got up, got something to eat and took a piss... layed back down and went back to sleep to go to work on Monday morning.

Overtime is awesome in moderation but sucks ass when it just kills your weekends. My check was awesome though

$15 an hour thats it? I like working over time at my work but they give us 25$ an hour and when I pull an extra 12 hours its great

im only getting $12 dollars an hour for overtime, but i do get about 26 overtime hours a week and i get paid every week so its a really nice pay check to pay for college

Just playin'. I've been working 6 day weeks (mandatory overtime) for about a year and a half now 3rd shift. Yeah, it sucks.

Well since I dont make 15$ an hour when I work OT... thats actually less then what I make per hour but....

15.00 CAD Canada Dollars = 12.1905 USD United States Dollars but you know something that I always think is funny.... when you make canadian money, spend canadian money and live in canada why does it matter how much that is in relevence to the "good ol american dollar"?

Now if I was to live in the US and make canadian money that would matter but since I live in the lovely country of Canada it doesn't matter to me

i need a higher paying job. i'm back at work again tonight...... fuck me.

I'm stuck in a job that pays $7 and hour and I am lucky if I can ge 30hrs a week.

Boss wont give overtime because he is greedy.

An there are like no jobs here so you take what you can get.

pissy pissy. if it makes you feel any better, my wife is in the same boat as you. she gets about 38 hours aweek, 7.50 an hour, and thats a management position! the general workers are making 7.35!
