Yeah I've really never had an actual problem with anyone on there except one which will stay nameless. When I was on there people were somewhat nice... but the actual .org staff was going downhill for their moderation and now look at the place. That and the 2nd Gen forum on there was near useless with everyone asking the same question... over and over and over. You'd have the same question on the 1st page being asked 4 times... each thread would have the answer yet someone would continue to keep asking without searching or scrolling down the page. I really don't mind it happening but then every thread turned into a argument about searching and just finding usefull info after awhile became more of a challenge and sorting through the useless info to find the usefull info just took too long.
Thats why on here, I'd like to keep the arguing down... if any of you are like me, when you're looking for an answer, you don't have to have to read through a 5 page thread about people bitching to finally see what you're looking for. If people get discouraged on using the search feature because they can't find what they are looking for then the number of repetitive questions will start to rise.
But as far as the members on there, never really had a problem, all were pretty much nice to me and good to talk with.

It's those first gen people, I tell ya. They're all assholes! All of them!
Just kidding! There are a lot of anti 2nd gen people, though. I confronted "Omniphil" about some of his rude remarks about our cars. I asked him what his least favorite parts of the second gen were and I listed some options. Things like:
1. no head gasket leaks
2. no paint peeling
3. refined and improved interior
4. SOHC that produces as much power as the DOHC
5. superior turbo model available
...etc...
His replies were useless and stubborn. He's a dick.
Yes, the 2nd gen section is a total waste there. If I read one more post asking about SRT exhaust on a base model 2nd gen, I'm going to lose it. People are so stupid on there, it's ridiculous. It's all of these young-ass kids getting brand new Neons for their first car and blowing up the chrome tail and LED washer nozzle market. They make me sick.

Oh I know that too well... that and people asking a question about something they aren't sure of or ask if they are right about something, I tell them the correct answer to their question and they just go off and just say they'll do it their way which is the wrong way. Umm... ok why bother asking the question???Smoke wrote:not open for an opinion other than there own

I can agree on both. I saw a thread about the next location of N2K. I offered the suggestion that they might try doing 2 events, one east, one west. Good god you'd think I was the anti christ for suggesting they split the event for maybe one year. I thought it'd be nice not to have to drive 36 hours to get to a national (or semi national) event. I don't think I'll ever go to one. Too many "in" folks. I'll leave them to it.Smoke wrote:My problem with them is that they are: 1 - not open for an opinion other than there own, and 2 - if they think they are correct on something they will fight you to the death and knock you down no matter how wrong they are.
Hence my traveling over here.
Now, since they've solved all other problems with the board. They've banned all FS posts in the new england forum. All 6/month are killing the server. Sometimes it's nice to know someone's got something you can drive an hour to get.

I sometimes go to the org for shopping, but thats it. I never post there, too many "im better than you" and "your just a complete moron" types.
I'd rather hang out over here with the "hey thats cool, lets drink a beer sometime" types...
you know what i mean...
