If you notice it was a ricer fly by the vette did...

I let off in 4th because I was going 40 over the speed limit.... We hit another light after that one and it wasn't even close.

No worries on my becoming a tool, my WRX was still faster then this SRT and no cockiness here!

I still have my swap, My buddy is still planning on buying to but If he falls through it will be for sale, I wont have the money/time to devote to fixing it completely up like I hoped, with the new baby coming I needed something 100% operational now.

I'm not talking about the end of the race, i'm talkign about once you hit second, he pulled on you, once you hit third, he pulled even more, and once you hit forth you let off and he blew by you. Try racing a 1/4 mile with him, and i'll put my money on the vette

Congrats dude. It's nice to see that one of us got one. I don't think I'll be getting the E.Blue one that I talked about anytime soon unless I hit the lotto then I'll grab it up in a heart beat. I soooo want an SRT-4 but until then I'll just play around with my SXT. Have fun with the new toy and be safe.

The Video seriously doesn't do the race any justice, I waxed him, I wish we had filmed the sec stoplight, it was even worse of a beating... Trust me I wouldn't make it up, the vette owner was so pissed off...

The vette was in no way, shape, or form going to make up the ground we, yes, i said "we" (i'm the camera man). The vette jumped a little b't our shifts but we quickly made ground. Trust me. He wouldn't have won.

Omg I would have thought the 2gn community would have been proud to know a Neon took out a vette that was being cocky... It wasn't meant as a my cock is bigger then yours cause I have a fast car, it was purely a fun little stoplight jaunt that surprised me.

I guess I'll just keep the posts to asking tech questions if I'm just going to have people post insults and cheap shots.

Someone else's fast car? I"m kinda confused. If it was truly "someone else's fast car" then it would have upgrades on it that AREN'T factory upgrades. Earlier tonight, I asked a Domino's delivery driver (driving a Neon herself ) if she wanted to see my Neon, raised the garage door and totally made a fool of myself bragging on my pride and joy. I love my Neon!

Thanks for your opinion, mister 3rd post guy. Take your own advice, that post falls into the category of "don't have anything nice to say".

Crash, I'm not trying to talk shit (well, maybe just a little, since I really am an asshole LOL), just kinda pointing out that your first post about the car is a cocky-sounding post, and its not really even your car yet (I'm assuming its financed and you havn't made the first monthly payment on it).

If the msd coil was the first upgrade, you might want to invest in an mpx (ugly) or bwoody (my personal fave, pretty powdercoat) heat shield, as the plastic housing tends to discolor due to high temps, same with the wires. The coils also tend to fail prematurely. mine misfires ocassionally, at 7k miles, so I keep the stocker and a 10mm 1/4 drive socket and wrench in my trunk on long trips in case it craps out completely.

Ps, Gramps, my registration says "Neon", so that's what I call it. Especially to the v8 guys at the track. It really does piss them off when a neon beats them to the other end.
